Our Goals

Here at Sports and Spinal Physiotherapy our team of experienced physiotherapists aim to provide the highest quality of treatment to patients of all ability levels in order to enhance and improve the rehabilitation process. In order to achieve this we provide our patients with physiotherapy which is patient centered and specific to their level of ability. As a result when deciding on physiotherapy interventions, the patient will be encouraged to discuss their short and long term goals for rehabilitation with their physiotherapist. These goals become the central focus of a patient's programme of physiotherapy treatment. Since every patient has different symptoms and goals, the treatment approach chosen by our physiotherapist varies from person to person. Therefore at Sports and Spinal Physiotherapy our physiotherapists use an extensive range of physiotherapy interventions in order to provide our patients with the best possible treatment in order to maximise their potential.

Marcus graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2009, working initially in the Mid Yorks NHS before moving to the private sector across West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and then London at a prestigious physiotherapy and pilates company, building his knowledge and specialism as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist.

An ex England school boy footballer and a single handicap golfer, Marcus is passionate about sports injury management and having worked as a physiotherapist in professional football and with the Northern Ballet for the last 2 years he appreciates the needs of the high level sports person. Marcus also applies normal movement principles and functional rehabilitation concepts to manage his clients with back and neck pain, work-related disorders and rheumatological conditions in order to return them to their optimum function.

Prior to qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist, Marcus completed a BSc Honours Degree in Sports Science at Loughborough University, enabling him to apply this knowledge to his physiotherapy practice. Marcus specialises in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of sports injuries using postural and biomechanical analysis, manual therapy, pilates and individualised rehabilitation programmes to help his clients return to the sports and activities they love.
